
As an artist, producer and cultural strategist, Anasa Troutman's life work is to harness the power of creativity for love and human connection. Currently a Senior Fellow at the Movement Strategy Center in Oakland, California, Anasa powerfully operates at nexus of creativity, spirituality & strategy. At MSC, Anasa created and runs a project called, “Art Is Change”, designed to explore and engage the intersections of art + culture + transformation with a commitment to love, creativity and individual and community wholeness.
Anasa lives in Atlanta, GA, where she began her career as the founder of Groovement and Earthseed Music, supporting artists like India.Arie, Donnie and Jiva and learning to leverage music to make the world a more fair, just and loving place. Anasa has spent the years since, working with artists and organizations to intensify the strategic impact of creative practice on social and political realities.
Anasa's work has been vasat and varied, working locally, regionally, nationally and internationally with artists as well as organizations like; The National Black Arts Festival, Alternate ROOTS, Institute for Policy Studies, Dennis Kucinich for President, The Young People's Project, Progressive Majority, The Campaign for America's Future, The League of Young Voters, The Generational Alliance and the Historic Highlander Center.
